The Oro-Medonte Chamber of Commerce and Tourism has a new president, Matt Young, and board of directors, and they’re excited about some upcoming changes in the township.
The Oro-Medonte Farmers’ Market is on the move. Previously located at the Oro-Medonte Fairgrounds, the market will relocate to Chappell Farms on Penetanguishene Road.
The first market will take place on Canada Day, July 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. After that, it will operate every Thursday in July and August, from 1 to 6 p.m. There will be live entertainment as well as activities for kids. Vendors can sign up by emailing [email protected].
The chamber board consists of Lynda Chan (vice-president), Eliza MacDonald, Luke Sedgwick, Tom Stoate, Cindy Moore, Kevin Le, Nancy Powell, Leann Hammond, Nicole Langman, Wanda Bick and John Bard (Oro-Medonte council appointee). The executive director is Sylvia Stark.
