OSMH Foundation welcomes four new board members

Cathy Clark, Tracey Keighley-Clarke, Catherine Pearson, and Brent Poulsen elected directors at recent annual general meeting

Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) Foundation is pleased to announce the election of four new members to its executive board. 

Effective June 12, Cathy Clark, Tracey Keighley-Clarke, Catherine Pearson, and Brent Poulsen were elected directors during the Foundation’s annual general meeting.  

These new board members bring a range of experience to the Foundation team. 

Cathy Clark is a certified compassion fatigue therapist and educator. She has recently retired from her full-time professional work, ending her career as the Director of Safety, Security, and Occupational Health at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH). 

Tracey Keighley-Clarke is a former healthcare and not-for-profit executive with over 36 years of experience in the GTA, Simcoe Muskoka and Southwestern Ontario. She has recently relocated back to the Simcoe Muskoka Region from Southwestern Ontario where she served for almost 6 years as the Chief Executive Officer for Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario. 

Catherine Pearson comes to the board with a background in strategic marketing, data analytics, client management, and operations. She is the owner and CEO of Quayle’s Brewery in Oro-Medonte and previously served as a founding member and Senior Vice President at Environics Analytics. Catherine’s leadership in business development and strategic consulting has spanned various sectors, including banking, insurance, telecommunications, and tourism. 

Brent Poulsen grew up in Orillia and recently relocated back after 17 years in the United States. He served as CEO of Spieth America within the ABEO Group, collaborating with prestigious organizations like the NCAA, International Olympic Committee, and USA Gymnastics. Brent has experience with cultivating and forming long-term collaborations from his extensive sales and corporate sponsorships background. 

OSMH Foundation board chair, Raquel Ness elected in 2023-2024 will continue her role for a second term.  

“We are grateful to welcome Cathy, Tracey, Catherine, and Brent to the Foundation Board,” says Raquel Ness, Board Chair, OSMH Foundation. “They each bring a wealth of expertise and passion for making an impact in their communities while demonstrating the values of the OSMH Foundation.” 

With sincere appreciation for their years of service, the Foundation recognizes board members who have finished their term this year.  

After serving ten years, Greg Parker retires from the Foundation Board as an honourary member. Dr. Nancy Harris served the board for eight years including time as Vice Chair and Board Chair. Julie Emery served as a board member for six years, with four years as Secretary. Hanan Fahmy served five years on the board and a year as Vice Chair. Natalie Little served on the board for three years and served as Vice Chair for one year. Mark Shivers was a board director for the past three years.  

“Our senior volunteers provide governance and oversight of the Foundation while offering strategic leadership and support,” said Perry Esler, OSMH Foundation President & CEO. I look forward to working with our newest volunteers and wish the best for our outgoing members.”  

The Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors is made up of volunteers who are actively focused on philanthropic support for Soldiers’.
