Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium has announced this morning that all school buses in all zones have been cancelled. The cancellation is due to current poor road conditions and visibility concerns.
Cancelled zones are as follows:
North Zone - Elmvale, Midland, Penetanguishene & Orillia
West Zone - Collingwood, Stayner & Wasaga Beach
Central Zone - Barrie, Innisfil & Angus
South Zone - Alliston, Beeton, Bradford, Cookstown & Tottenham
Muskoka
Due to the winter storm and severe weather, a decision has been made to close all Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board and Simcoe County District School Board schools and board office buildings today. Many roads and parking lots are not plowed and blowing snow and snow squalls throughout the region are making travel to schools unsafe.
There will be no staff at the schools to receive students. Families and staff are encouraged to stay off the roads today.
