The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) is ready to show off its members’ talents and services to the public.
The organization will hold its third annual Business Showcase on Jan. 8 at the Best Western Plus Mariposa Inn and Conference Centre.
Members of the public are invited to attend the free event between 5 and 6:20 p.m. The OBWA’s regular meeting will follow.
OBWA president Shelle Hossack said there will be something for everyone.
“For the men, there may be some products and services that will interest them. For the women, in addition to the products and services, they may see that this group would be a good fit for them,” she said. “It allows the public to see what types of services and businesses are offered in the area.”
Swag bags will be handed out to the first 20 people who show up, and some of the people with booths will have products for sale.
The OBWA isn’t just for business owners; it’s for any woman who wants to join.
“We believe that all women have something to offer. When you pool together all the information that can be shared, it helps all of the women in the group,” Hossack said. “It’s a safe and welcoming place for all women, and it can be a fun night out once a month.”
