Puck drops at Colts training camp (6 photos)

Scrimmages continue this week leading up to the Blue-White game on Thursday night at the BMC

The Barrie Colts opened their training camp Tuesday ahead of the 2018-19 Ontario Hockey League season.

The day began with fitness testing at Mind to Muscle on Huronia Road in south-end Barrie, followed by a pair of intrasquad scrimmages. 

Camp continues on Wednesday with more scrimmages, including Gold vs. White at 9:30 a.m., Navy vs. Red at 10:45 a.m., Gold vs. Navy at 1 p.m., and Navy vs. Red at 2:15 p.m., all at the Barrie Molson Centre. 

The scrimmages are free to attend and open to the public.

The Colts' annual Blue-White game is set for Thursday at 7 p.m., at the BMC.

The team will then begin its pre-season exhibition schedule, beginning with a road game in Niagara on Friday, Aug. 31 before hosting the Owen Sound Attack at the BMC on Monday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. 

The Colts will play the Sudbury Wolves on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Eddie Bush Memorial Arena in Collingwood at 6 p.m.

On Thursday, Sept. 13, the Colts will face the Niagara IceDogs at 7:30 p.m. at the BMC, followed by the Peterborough Petes at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
