Ramara man dies in plane crash

Six passengers survived crash in Upper Raft Lake; No other details have yet been released

An investigation is continuing following a plane crash Monday that killed a Ramara Township man.

A Cessna floatplane crashed Monday morning in Upper Raft Lake, in Lake of Bays Township. The 44-year-old man was found at the scene without vital signs, OPP Const. Martin Hachey said. 

Six passengers survived and were taken to hospital.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton responded to the scene to assist in the rescue operation.

The Transportation Safety Board is investigating.

Further information, including the name of the deceased, has not yet been released.
