NEWS RELEASE
TOWNSHIP OF RAMARA
*************************
The Township of Ramara is inviting residents, visitors and businesses to have their say to gather valuable input and insight on creating Ramara’s community improvement plan (CIP) focused on the Brechin area.

A CIP is a planning and economic development tool prepared under Section 28 of the Planning Act. Municipalities use it to revitalize areas of a township or community through programs, grants and incentives. The main goal of a CIP is to improve the overall quality of life in a community by promoting sustainable development, enhancing public spaces, and attracting investment.

The CIP will focus on the designated settlement area of Brechin to assist with private-sector redevelopment and facilitate property improvements. As part of the consultation process, we are seeking input from the community and local businesses through an online survey and interviews.

Survey

Residents, visitors and businesses can provide input through a short online survey. The survey is available until Aug. 25 at 4:30 p.m. A paper copy of the survey can be picked up at the township administration building during business hours.

Interviews

For local businesses in the Brechin area, one-on-one interviews will be conducted through the month of August.

Your views and opinions are important and will provide us valuable insight into the current and future needs and vision of Brechin. Join the discussion and help shape Brechin. Visit the CIP page at www.ramara.ca/haveyoursay.
