The Township of Ramara, in partnership with the Ramara Public Library, Ramara Firefighters’ Association, Brechin and Mara Legion, Brechin and District Lions Club, Susan Potalivo and Jane Lee, raised $15,364.45 for the Feeding Families campaign.
The Feeding Families campaign ran from Nov. 13 to Dec. 15, and all funds raised and items collected support the children and families in the Ramara community.
“This is our fourth annual campaign, and I am extremely proud of our community for coming together to help support this worthy cause. The holidays can be an exceptionally stressful time for those in need, but with the exceptional amount of donations raised, we hope to ease the burden of the holidays for these families. Thank you to all the organizations that hosted events supporting the campaign and for all the hats, mittens, coats and non-perishable food item donations. These things illustrate our township’s unbelievable generosity, community spirit, and ability to come together to support one another in need.
