ORILLIA PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS GROUP

Orillia resident Colin Wackett will speak about the success of the Huronia Ride for Dad in support of prostate cancer research during a meeting March 28.

Wackett will be at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34, Orillia, for the Orillia Prostate Cancer Awareness Group meeting to talk about the highly successful Ride for Dad, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years, given to research doctors.

The Huronia Ride for Dad has a tremendous record in supporting the funded research. The funding has helped advance treatment procedures and has reduced radiation doses from 35 to five.

Wackett will also share other examples at the meeting.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. The meeting is free for all to attend.
