Canadian Blood Services officials note the need for blood remains constant, especially through the summer months, as road traffic and accidents often increase.
Yet, sadly, attendance at blood donor clinics can often decrease because of vacations.

The regular Orillia Blood Donor Clinic will be held Thursday, June 14 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Best Western Mariposa Inn at 400 Memorial Ave.
Blood and blood products are a critical part of everyday medical care including major surgeries, medical procedures, cancer treatments and managing disease.
