Wednesday evening was proof that what can start off as a rainy evening can quickly change into a refreshing evening with a very fine rainbow!

The group hiked the Ramara Trail in nearby Ramara Township on Wednesday evening, admiring the trail-side ditches full of blooming goldenrod, milkweeds, cat tails and attendant butterflies. Lots of fruiting bushes, “naturalized” apple trees, spotted touch-me-nots to name a few.

Hiking season is just getting going again, with the first official Saturday hike on Sept. 1. That will be a hike on the Trans-Canada-Trail near Washago for an easy eight-kilometre hike.

We welcome new hikers. For information on this or other hiking activities, call Carol at 705-325-1065.
