NEWS RELEASE
COUCHICHING JUBILEE HOUSE

Tickets for Dancing with the Docs presented by Couchiching Jubilee House (CJH) and Tapps Performing Arts have been sold out since before the early bird deadline, but you can still be a part of the fun and help make a difference for vulnerable women and children.
The eight local doctors participating in the dance competition are donating more than just their time to learn a new dance routine.
They are also fundraising for a chance to support the cause while taking home the award for “Highest Funds Raised”, one of three awards being handed out on April 6.
The team who scores the highest from the judges will take home the title of “Best Dance Team” and the mirror ball trophy, and the “Fan Favourite” award will go to the Dancing Doc who earns the highest combined score of audience applause and number of votes purchased that night.
“Our goal is to raise $30,000," said CJH development co-ordinator Courtney Willis. “We are getting very close. We are confident that pledges and our silent auction will close that gap.”
The competition for the Doc with the highest funds raised is heating up.
Currently in first place is Dr. Bill Tillmann, from First Medical Group and sponsored by West Street Storage, with $1,700 raised.
Allison McFarlane, from Bell Chiropractic/Back to Function, sponsored by BMO Newsbitt Burns/Karen O’Coin, just jumped into second place with $1,590 after dropping off a large offline donation collection to the CJH office.
Dr. Leo Lam, from Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH), sponsored by JG Stewart Construction is hot on the trail with $1,350 in donations.

- Dr. Bill Tillmann, First Medical Group, sponsored by Mike and Darlene England of West Street Storage;
