Today's Remembrance Day procession to briefly close some streets

All invited to attend this morning's service at OSMH, but police warn of traffic delays and street closures between the hospital and the Legion

Today's Remembrance Day ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the cenotaph at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

This Remembrance Day Orillia will join together with communities across Canada to honour our veterans. Expect brief street closures and traffic delays in downtown Orillia during the Remembrance Day parade. 

Your attendance is welcomed.

The parade will take place today (Nov. 11), commencing at 10:50 a.m. on Dunlop Street near the Orillia cenotaph located at 170 Colborne St. W. (Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital). Dunlop Street will be closed between Mississaga Street West and Colborne Street West during this brief parade to the cenotaph. 

Following the service the parade will re-commence north on Dunlop Street then east on Mississaga Street West. Access to Mississaga Street West and Mississaga Street East will be blocked from each direction as the parade moves east towards downtown Orillia before arriving at the Royal Canadian Legion. 

At the conclusion of the parade access to Mississaga Street will opened.
