Severe thunderstorm warning replaces tornado warning for:
   Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago, Ont. (044120)

Current details:
This severe thunderstorm is located 5 kilometres west of Hawkestone, moving east at 45 km/h.

Hazards:
Wind gusts up to 100 km/h
Nickel to Toonie size hail

Locations impacted include:
Orillia, Mara Provincial Park, McRae Point Provincial Park, Lagoon City, Hawkestone, Lake Couchiching, Rathburn and Udney.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

This severe thunderstorm is located near Barrie, moving east at 50 km/h.

Hazards:
Tornado
Nickel to Toonie size hail
Wind gusts to 100 km/h

Locations impacted include:
Barrie, South Barrie, Little Lake, Oro, Kempenfelt Bay and Hawkestone.

This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.

Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
