NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA CONCERT ASSOCIATION
************************
Already it’s time for our final concert of 2023! The Orillia Concert Association invites you to join us on Sunday, May 7, at 2:30 p.m., when we present the Toronto Mandolin Orchestra at the Orillia Opera House.

The Toronto Mandolin Orchestra is as ethnically diverse as its repertoire, which spans classical, folk, popular and Canadian music. The TMO’s unique instrumentation sets it apart from all other orchestras. The mandolin family of instruments is featured in place of violins (first and second mandolin, mandola, tenor mandolin, mandocello, mandobass), and is augmented by a five piece wind section and a complete percussion section.

The orchestra’s illustrious history includes performances in such prestigious venues as Massey Hall, Ontario Place Forum, Hamilton Place, and the National Arts Centre, along with concert tours across Canada, two separate tours of Ukraine, as well as commissions of new Canadian compositions and milestone collaborations with world-class artists. We know you will enjoy an afternoon in the company of musicians creating the intimacy of a chamber ensemble with all the power of a symphony.

If you have not yet purchased tickets, please contact us or visit the Orillia Opera House box office here

If you do not have a season’s subscription, you may purchase individual tickets for our May concert at $40 per concert ($20 for students).
