A stretch of trail near Scout Valley in Orillia will be closed starting Monday to allow Enbridge Gas to complete tree work in the area.
Contractors for Enbridge Gas will undertake tree work in the area of the Highway 12 bypass and Old Barrie Road. It will affect the paved walking trail that runs parallel to Scout Valley and connects to University Avenue.
The trail will be closed at both ends until the work is completed.
Workers will use part of the Scout Valley parking lot on Old Barrie Road as a staging area.
The work is expected to take up to two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
