BRACEBRIDGE OPP

On Feb. 23, the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit of the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a Manitoba Street address.
During the execution of this warrant, three parties were arrested. Over $10,000 worth of controlled substances including cocaine, hydromorphone contin, morphine, methadone, and cannabis marijuana were seized. Police also seized over $10,000 in currency.
As a result of this investigation the following people have been charged:
Deborah FERGUSON, 60, of Bracebridge
Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking - S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule II Substance - S. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 - S. 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Possession of a prohibited device - S. 92(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Richard MCKENZIE, 49, of Bracebridge
Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking - S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule I Substance - S. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule II Substance - S. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
The two accused were held in custody for a bail hearing in the Town of Newmarket conducted via video on Feb. 24.
Josh STEAD, 37, of Bracebridge was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was held in custody and brought to a bail hearing on the Feb. 23, in Bracebridge.
