Three friends will get more than $100,000 each after winning big on Lotto Max.
Timothy Klementti, of Barrie, Clifford Bakazias, of Gravenhurst, and Gary Parsons, of Toronto, won the second-place $321,264.90 prize in the Nov. 22 draw.
They regularly purchase Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 tickets as part of their group play, as well as buying individual tickets.
Bakazias was the one to share the good news with his buddies.
“I was reviewing the winning numbers when I realized we’d won,” he said in an OLG news release. “I sent a message in our group chat, saying, ‘Put our ticket in a safe place.’ Timothy and Gary were surprised and thrilled.”
They will toast their win with a bottle of champagne, and all three also plan to invest and save for retirement.
The winning ticket was purchased at Jean’s Variety on Burton Avenue in Barrie.
