Mckalester Gale, of Penetanguishene, won $100,000 in the Oct. 8 Lotto Max draw.

A Penetanguishene man is $100,000 richer after matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Oct. 8 Lotto Max draw.

Mckalester Gale, who is self-employed, purchased his winning ticket at The Corner Market on Mosley Street in Wasaga Beach.

“While out and about, I scanned my ticket using the OLG app,” he said in an OLG news release. “I had to scan it a few times to confirm what I was seeing. I shared the good news with my wife, and she was very happy for me.”

He is still deciding what to do with his winnings.
