Coun. Jay Fallis hopes to see a no-parking zone set up along a section of Atlantis Drive.

Due to “visibility” issues in the area, city staff are going to look into implementing a no-parking zone between 104 and 114 Atlantis Dr. in west Orillia.

The idea was brought forward by Coun. Jay Fallis, who gained council’s support for a staff report on the idea.

Fallis said constituents originally brought the idea forward to him.

“There's been some visibility issues raised by some constituents coming around this corner of Atlantis Drive,” he said. “It's the corner right near Clayt French Park, as you're coming from Orion down Atlantis.”

City staff will report back on the feasibility of the idea at a later date.
