Turtle Trouble with Scales Nature Park
May 25 at 10 a.m.
Turtles are in trouble all around the world!
Meet some of Canada’s extraordinary turtle species and learn how to get them off the roads and support their habitats with a special presentation from Turtle Guardians and Saving Turtles at Risk Today. Stick around afterwards to meet a turtle up close and talk with staff about your stories and/or questions about turtle conservation in Ontario.
This event is for all ages (children, teens and adults).
CHILD/YOUTH PROGRAMS
P.D. Day Fun for All at Your Library happens Friday, May 31 with the following special programs:
Endangered Animals Story Time at 10:30. a.m
Did you know that there are many animals that are almost extinct? This means that if we don’t help our planet or these animals, they will not be around much longer! Children ages 0 to 8 are invited to join us to learn more.
DIY Stained Glass Art at 2 p.m.
Make a beautiful piece of artwork (choose from different designs to suit anyone – or talk to us about an idea) to show off to friends and family and showcase in your room. This program is for children between the ages of 8-16. Materials provided.
