The spirit of giving is still very much alive at Warminster Elementary School.

This year, students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 helped stock the shelves at the local Salvation Army. Teresa Love, a local Warminster and area staple, approached primary teacher Mrs. Lisa Stephens about participating in the Holiday Food Drive.

Mrs. Stephens gathered help from some very organized and helpful students, creating the 12 Days of Giving Food Drive within the school.

Students were asked to bring specific items on specific days based on the food banks biggest needs. The students and families responded in spades. Close to 1,800 items were collected from a student population of about 230. Multiple trips with a full SUV needed to be made in order to deliver it all.

Warminster is so very proud of our students and families for helping out in a big way. Mrs. Stephens and Mrs. Love are to be congratulated on organizing such a successful campaign.

A sincere thank you goes out to all of those who helped, and we would like to wish a warm and happy holiday to all.
