ORILLIA MUSEUM OF ART & HISTORY

Have you ever wondered if those old items tucked away in the basement or attic are worth anything? Want to find out?
Head to the Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) this month - and bring your antiques!
Inspired by the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, which has been on air since 1979, OMAH will have experts on hand to share their knowledge.
Our team of experts will provide you with all the information you’ve always wanted to know.
“What’s it Worth?” will take place at the museum, located at 30 Peter St. S. in Orillia.
OMAH is honoured to be joined by Julie Riches of Riches Appraisals & Consult (International Society of Appraisers). Her areas of expertise include silver, art glass, porcelain, ceramics, bronzes, sculptures, furniture, coins, military items, and fine art.
Themed evaluations will be conducted from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 17, and 24.
Saturday, Aug. 10 is small treasures and heirlooms. Riches will be joining us to evaluate your treasures.
Saturday, Aug. 17 is also focused on small treasures and heirlooms. Joining Riches will be military collector Carl Black and local historian Marcel Rousseau.
Saturday, Aug. 24, as a complement to the popular Orillia Starry Night Studio and Gallery Tour, evaluations will be conducted on art.

The event is a fundraising initiative for OMAH and proceeds will go to support the conservation of the museum’s collection.
