ORILLIA LAWN BOWLING CLUB

Four local Probus clubs met this week in the second annual Orillia Probus Clubs Lawn Bowling Challenge.
Each club was invited to enter up to three teams to contest the title and vie for the Probus Challenge Cup.
The weather was sweltering and the competition was hot. Most participants were new to the sport of lawn bowling and great sportsmanship was the name of the game. Everyone had a great time and did their very best to stay cool in the face of the heat wave.
In the end, the Lake Country Probus Club came away with the title, deposing last year’s champions, the Probus Club of Orillia. Lake Country also captured second place, while the Probus Club of Orillia took home third-place honours this year.
