On Nov. 8 and 9 Twisters Gymnastics and Gymnastics Ontario hosted the 2024-25 Tour Select competition.

This competition determines the athletes that will compete as a member of Team Ontario at a travel competition in the new year.

Mariposa Gymnastics had six gymnasts attend this competition. Some of them went to gain experience as it was their first showing at this type of event and others were there to earn their place on top of the podium.

The girls put their best efforts forward and showed confidence and athleticism on the floor.

Carley Hussey, Chloe L’Ecuyer, Maddy Dunn and Maggie Lynch set out to reach their personal goals and achieved great things. We would like to send out a big congratulations to these ladies.

Marina Thomas competed for the first time in over two years and attacked her goals with confidence and was able to reach her dreams. Marina was the Level 6 vault champion and has earned a position to compete as a member of Team Ontario at the Biles Invitational in Houston, Texas.

Brooke-Lynn May competed as our only Level 8 gymnast and although things did not go the way we had hoped, she demonstrated her skills on beam with grace and power. Brooke-Lynn earned a second-place finish on beam and is looking forward to a strong qualifying season.

Congratulations to all of the gymnasts that competed this weekend.
