ORILLIA LAWN BOWLING CLUB

The fifth lawn bowling “fun” tournament of the year took place at the Orillia Lawn Bowling Club on Aug. 24.
The event was sponsored by Jim Wilson Chevrolet, whose representatives, Samantha Green and Cassandra Minter, tried their hand at delivering a lawn bowl.
To add to the fun, five games were played, with a prize winner decided for each game.
Shirley Healy, the club president, won the first game with Sandy Furzecott.
The bowling season is winding down after a very successful year, with three tournaments remaining in September. It was a great recovery after very limited bowling the past two years. The next tournament is on Sept. 7, sponsored by the Co-operators insurance company.
