NEWS RELEASE
CHEER SPORT SHARKS ORILLIA
*************************
On Sunday, Nov. 27, Cheer Sport Sharks Orillia competed for the first time this season at the Breath of Life competition held at the University of Guelph.
High-calibre competitors from across the province were in attendance. This proved to be a great push for the athletes who commanded the floor and put out some of their strongest routines to date. The final standings for the gym were as follows:
Baby Blue Sharks — U8 prep Level 1, first place
Bamboo Sharks — U12 all-star Level 1, first place
Quick Fin Sharks — U12 prep Level 1, first place
Valley Sharks — U16 all-star Level 2, second place
Electro and Blackspotted Sharks also competed. They both demonstrated a high level of skill and energy to some amazing performances.
In addition to these incredible standings, Cheer Sport Sharks Orillia will proudly be representing Orillia at the Allstar World Championship in Orlando, Fla., in May 2023 as the Bamboo Sharks received an at-large bid for this prestigious competition. This is a well-earned milestone for the gym as it has been a goal in progress for gym owner/head coach Teanna Larmand and her staff. The athletes at the gym have been training incredibly hard and preparing for this level of competition over the last several months, determined to prove that they had what it takes to head to larger venues with greater challenges.
Cheer Sport Sharks Orillia would like to invite local businesses who may be interested in sponsoring athletes in need of financial support to attend the Allstar World Championships to reach out to [email protected].
