The Barrie Colts have moved up to No. 9 in the latest Canadian Hockey League rankings for Week 18, bypassing the Western League's Medicine Hat Tigers who dropped three spots.

The local Ontario Hockey League team was slotted in at No. 10 in last week's CHL rankings. The Colts are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games.

With a CHL-best 40 wins and .827 winning percentage, the OHL's London Knights remain in the top spot for an 11th straight week.

The Colts (33-14-3) will host the Knights (40-8-1) on Thursday evening at Sadlon Arena. Puck drops shortly after 7 p.m.

Barrie sits atop the Eastern Conference standings, two points ahead of the Brantford Bulldogs, Oshawa Generals and Kingston Frontenacs, who all have 67 points. The Colts have also played one or two fewer games than those teams behind them.

Meanwhile, the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League’s Moncton Wildcats stand pat at No. 2 in the CHL rankings this week, a position they have held for 15 of the last 17 weeks. The top three is rounded out by the 2025 Memorial Cup hosts, the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL.

The OHL's Kitchener Rangers come in at No. 5 while the Windsor Spitfires are at No. 8.
