Orillia Hawks declawed by Panthers, rebound to tame the Tigers

Emilija Ligers scores twice to help Hawks rebound, record a 2-0 win over Orangeville in recent girls hockey action

Nov. 2 saw the Hawks face off against the Central York Panthers.

While the girls played hard, they came out flat with a 4-2 loss. Orillia goals were scored by Isabella Cheslock and Kailee Taylor-Wood. Assists were made by Jorgia Kitcher, Cabot Ferguson and Kallie Yakeley.

The following day, Nov. 3, the Hawks stepped up their game as they encountered the Orangeville Tigers. Orillia skated off with a 2-0 win. Both Orillia goals were scored by Emilija Ligers. She was assisted by Isabella Cheslock and Ellie Lynch.

The Hawks want to acknowledge their gold sponsors: Almaguin Spartans Jr. A Hockey Club, TD Wealth and Team Kitcher.
