The U15BB Hawks were back in action on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, after the holidays.

Facing off against the Central York Panthers in Newmarket, the two teams battled for three intense periods. Orillia took the lead in the first period with Ellie Lynch putting one past the goalie with help from Kaydence Thompson. Molly Mee clinched the second Orillia goal with help from Ellie Lynch and Kaydence Thompson.

The Panthers turned up the heat in the third period and scored a goal but could not get another one around goalie Olivia Weaver. The Hawks soared away with a 2-1 victory.

On Sunday, Jan. 5, the Hawks travelled to Orangeville to take on the Tigers. The Tigers had 13 shots on Orillia goalie Sawyer Seberry and were only able to get one by her. Kaydence Thompson started off the scoring for Orillia with an assist from Kallie Yakeley in the first period.

The second period saw Isabella Cheslock take the puck from Kaydence Thompson and drop one in the net. The Tigers scored their only goal in the second period. The Panthers walked away with their tails tucked in as the Hawks won 2-1.
