ORILLIA HAWKS

The Orillia Hawks senior ladies squad found home ice advantage on the weekend, as they skated to the division title in the annual Orillia Hawks girls' hockey tournament.
In Game 1, Orillia defeated the Barrie Sharks Senior B team 3-2. Goals of the game: Haylee Lawlor netted a pair and Jillian Armstrong a solo. Assists went to: Danielle Jeffreys (2), Brittney Bince, Betsy Maus and Caitlin Kubieski.
Game 2 vs. Ennismore Eagles was the second victory for the team with final score of 2-0. The goals scored were tallied by Haylee Lawlor and Caitlin Kubieski with Kubieski also picking up an assist.
Game 3 in the round robin was versus the Orillia Simcoe Hawks which resulted in a loss of 4-2. Goals scored by: Kubieski and Jeffreys with assists by Caitlyn Attridge.
The championship game versus the Ennismore Eagles ended in a 3-0 victory for the Orillia Hawks. Goals scored by Jeffreys (2) and Laura Kennedy with assists going to Haylee Lawlor, Kennedy, Carly Payne, Cora Armstrong, Kubieski and Brittney Bince.
Goalies Robin Root and Gabby Mondelli were solid all weekend.
