The 2024 season is officially underway at the Orillia Lawn Bowling Club, and it's been a busy week on the bowling green.

The Orillia Curling Club came out for a learn-to-bowl session on Tuesday. Everyone enjoyed learning a new sport that has so many similarities to curling. Lawn Bowling is like curling on grass ... without the sweeping!

On Wednesday the Lawn Bowling Club hosted its first club Fun Day of the season generously sponsored by our local Co-operators. Three pairs games and a cornhole tournament in between made for a great day of fun and laughter.

First Place went to Jane Barlow and Rick Swinton

Patrick Fogarty students also got a chance to try out lawn bowling this week.  A mini tournament proved to be a popular phys. ed. outing for about 60 students. Lots of young talent out there!
