Despite another heavy blanket of snow on soccer fields last week, John Copp, past president of Orillia and District Soccer Club, continued with the group’s preparation for the 2025 season.
The club promoted a draw for two Toronto FC soccer tickets for returning sponsors, and the winner was Simcoe Sewer & Water Ltd.
Noted Brent Settle from the Orillia-based business, and recipient of the tickets, “We have been an annual sponsor of Orillia and District Soccer Club for over five years, and we are happy to support the organization, and the many benefits the game provides for youth from across Orillia and area.”
John Copp added, “The ongoing sponsorship support of over 40 companies like Simcoe Sewer & Water Ltd. will help provide our club with uniform and equipment needs for the 1,000 players we anticipate will sign up in 2025. We will be kicking off registration in the coming weeks.”
