Although soccer fields across the city are still knee-deep in snow, the Orillia and District Soccer Club (ODSC) is busy preparing for the 2025 season, and putting the finishing touches on a successful 2024 campaign.

Julian Langiano (left), broker/owner at Royal LePage Quest in Orillia, is shown with his sponsorship plaque from John Copp, past president of ODSC. Langiano and Royal LePage Quest were one of the first of a number of area sponsors to support a team for the 2025 ODSC season. Royal LePage Quest and other businesses who commit prior to Jan. 15, 2025 will be entered into a draw to win two Toronto Football Club tickets. Langiano is a repeat sponsor who also volunteers as a house league coach.

Langiano noted, “Orillia soccer has put together a great sponsorship package for businesses, which includes team naming rights and logoed jerseys, team photo plaque, ODSC website and social media promotion, and the opportunity to have presence at featured sponsor days. It is great value and starts at only $400 per team. Our support and that of other sponsors helps to provide a wonderful opportunity for youth to meet like-minded kids, learn to socialize with others, and to build long-lasting friendships and support their physical and mental well-being.”

John Copp, who has held numerous positions on the ODSC board for 28 years and whose journey began as a coach, added, “In 2024, registration for our soccer club was among the highest ever in over 30 years, and reached almost 1,000 players. Without sponsorship support, our growth and the opportunities ODSC provides to area youth would not be possible. In exchange, the reach of a sponsorship extends to over 1,000 players, coaches and referees, and the countless numbers of family members and friends that flood to our fields for 10 weeks each summer.”

Registration for 2025 will launch early February on orilliasoccer.com with the season for ODSC commencing officially mid-May 2025 for both house league and travel teams. Businesses or organizations who have any questions on the sponsorship program, or are interested in sponsoring a house league or travel team, can reach out to Gary Molnar, club administrator, at [email protected]. Details are also available at orilliasoccer.com on the Sponsorship page.
