The McLean and Dickey Orillia Terriers just keep on winning.

In their lone game of the week, the Terriers skated to a convincing 6-0 win over the host Muskoka Bears on Wednesday night in Bracebridge, improving their impressive record in Provincial Junior Hockey League play to 24-3-1.

The Terriers scored two goals in the first period and never looked back. Dante Cugliari opened the scoring, followed by Lleyton McLean.

In the second period, Jordan Fuller and McLean, with his second, gave the Dogs a 4-0 lead after two periods.

In the third, McLean completed the hat trick, while Colton Dumond rounded out the scoring.

Goaltender Nathan Hunter picked up the shutout, facing just 17 shots. The Terriers fired 49 shots the other way in a dominating performance.

The Terriers finally return home after an extended break to face arch rival Stayner on Saturday night at 7:30 at Rotary Place. The Terriers sit in second place in the North Carruthers division, seven points ahead of Stayner (21-8-0).

Prior to that game, the Terriers will honour world champion Sydney Sawyer.

Sawyer, a member of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, helped Canada win a gold medal at the recent Women's World U18 Championship in Finland.

She will be honoured in a pre-game ceremony and will sign autographs for local fans, officials say.
