If you answered yes to these questions, you might be interesed in becoming a member of the Board of Directors of Friends of Wye Marsh Inc.
Friends of Wye Marsh Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable organization that is responsible for the management of the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre. Its mandate is to provide public and school programs that promote the connection between people and nature, and environmental stewardship of the Wye Marsh and surrounding environment.
The Wye Marsh's mission is to be a centre of excellence for wetlands research, interpretation and education based on the principle of stewardship and the importance of environmental awareness.
Board members attend regularly scheduled board meetings and provide advice and guidance as required; participate fully in decision-making activities; raise the profile of the Wye Marsh in the community; build relationships with all stakeholders; participate in Wye Marsh events. Board Members do not have to reside in Midland or Tay, but can live in outlying areas as well.
