Peacefully passed away at the Atrium Retirement Residence on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the age of 98. Now reunited with his beloved bride the late Betty Jean (nee: Oke). Predeceased by his parents David & Marion Allan and siblings Bill and Dorothy. Favourite uncle of Cheryl & her husband Gerald Cormier, Cynthia & her husband Randall Jones, Rosemary Allan, Gordon Allan, Terrill Brown, Derek Brown, Verne Brown, Audrey Thornton, niece, and great uncle of Sharla Nyland & husband Keir and Lisa Thornton. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Morris and sisters-in-law Joyce and Lauretta. Dear friend of Alberta Davies.
David will be remembered as a proud WWII Veteran and former member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #34, Orillia. As per David's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the SPCA - Orillia Branch or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated and can be made through the Mundell Funeral Home.
