It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colleen Mary Andrews, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Colleen passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness.
Colleen was the cherished mother of Michael Andrews, who, along with his spouse Shir, will carry forward her memory. She was the devoted Nana to Jack Andrews, whom she adored deeply. Colleen was a beloved sister to Sharon Dufour, a proud aunt to Lauren and Kristin, and a caring great aunt to Hudson, Reid, and Eden. She was a treasured friend to so many, always putting the needs of others before her own, and lending a hand wherever it was needed.
For many years, Colleen served as a personal support worker with Helping Hands in Orillia, dedicating herself to caring for those in need. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives, making a difference to each person she supported. Colleen was also the surviving widow of Wilson "Wally" Yetman, whom she held dear in her heart.
In 1998, Colleen moved to Joyland Beach, where she found her true home. The warmth and beauty of the community brought her immense happiness, and she embraced her surroundings with gratitude and joy.
To celebrate Colleen's beautiful life, a gathering will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 1 p.m. at the Joyland Beach Community Center. Family and friends are invited to share memories, honour her spirit, and remember the love and kindness she shared so freely.
Colleen's light and legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed.
