Irene Marie Cecilia Barnes passed away peacefully in her sleep at Spencer House, Orillia, on Saturday, May 23, 2020, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of 25 years to Roger of Orillia. Loving mother of Kevin Richardson & wife Laura Lynn of Durham and Kim Richardson of Gatineau, Quebec. Also fondly remembered by Roger's children Casey, Luke and Isaac. Very proud grandmother of Dominic & Etienn, Nathan & Elizabeth, Cloe & Abigail, Hayley & Danielle and great grandmother of Wyatt. Dear sister of Joan Vezina of Victoria, BC, Greg Shewell (Bernice) of Edmonton, AB and Cindy Wight (Ron) of London, Ont. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-laws and their families and her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her grandparents Mary & William Clarence Massecar, parents Rosaire & Ruth Vezina and her adoptive parents Kenneth & Thelma Shewell and by her granddaughter Hannah Richardson. Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
