BASARABA, Adrian

August 19th, 2018 will always be a day to remember and reflect on countless memories. It is with great sadness that the family of Adrian Basaraba announces the passing of Adrian after a brief illness at the age of 76. He will be remembered as the loving husband to Marilyn Anglehart who he was married to for 57 years. He was also the wonderful father of his beautiful daughters Laurie Nugent, and Lana Williams, as well as his son who is also named Adrian Basaraba. Adrian was loved and respected by his son in law Shawn Nugent and daughter in law Alicia Basaraba. Adrian loved his grandchildren, Mitchell and Audrey Nugent, Alexander and Nathan Willams, Sophia and Adria Basaraba. Family was everything to Adrian.

Adrian was born in Austria in 1941 and relocated to Canada in 1947 with his parents Christine and Dmitro Basaraba who were originally from Romania. Adrian married his sweetheart Marilyn in 1961 and as a K-Mart Manager they were transferred to many places in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.

Adrian will always be remembered by his family and friends for his easy going nature, quick wit, wonderful sense of humour, and kind heart. He had the ability to lighten up any room with his joyfulness and jokes.

A cremation for Adrian has taken place, and a family celebration of life with follow.

Adrian's family would love to thank the lovely Bayshore nurses and the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN team who were there for him every step of the way.
