It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Burnie, who left this world 02/13/2025. Born October 28,1937 Pefferlaw ON. Predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Patricia Burnie, sister Beverley Hill, brother-in-law John Hill, niece LeeAnne. Gerry was a dedicated Canadian author, best known for his historical fictions, Two Irish Lads, and Nor All Thy Tears: Journey to Big Sky. He has had a long and varied career. For twenty-five years prior to his retirement, he lectured on the topics of political science and law and then turned his interest to history for a further five years. In addition, he has been an actor, singer, dancer, artist, and municipal politician at various times in his life. Gerry is survived by his loving family members, nieces Cherelynne and Alicia, nephews Wayne, and Kevin. Great niece Shawnda great nephews Casey, Adam, Tyler and Caleb. He will be missed deeply by family and friends (who were family to Gerry) and all who knew him. Rest in peace, Uncle G. We are sure her Royal Houndness Elora ran to meet you.
