20-Jul-1943 - 21-Jul-2024

Joyce Ann Campbell (Spinney), born on July 20, 1943, in Malden, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the cherished mother of four children: her beloved late Baby Jill, Lindsay, Brennan (Roxanne), and Graham (Lisa). Joyce was a proud grandmother to her six grandchildren: Jack, Max, Drew, Nathan, Duncan, and her favourite granddaughter, Bailey (Scott). She leaves behind her special friend Kevin Heibein, with whom she spent precious time with during the last fourteen years of her life. She also leaves behind her sister, Barbara; nephew Billy; and nieces Kelly, Jill, and Terri.

After raising her family in Timmins, Joyce moved to Midland, where she made significant contributions through her work in economic development. She found great fulfillment in her deep involvement with the communities of Midland and Schumacher and her dedicated volunteer work, particularly with Rotary. Her commitment and passion were evident in her 27 years as a member of the Midland Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club shared their profound sadness over Joyce's passing, highlighting her as a dear friend and one of the brightest lights in their organization. Her wisdom, dedication, and spirited nature were unparalleled, and she will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Joyce considered her greatest accomplishments to be her three amazing boys, their wonderful partners, and her beloved grandchildren. Despite facing health challenges since she was 39 years old, she embraced life fully and appreciated each day as a bonus.

In honour of Joyce's legacy, a celebration of her life will be held at the Midland Cultural Centre on August 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a short tribute commencing at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to the Rotary Foundation in her memory.

Joyce’s life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to family, community, and service. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the lives she touched and the love she shared.
