It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Vivian Jean Cardinell after a courageous battle with cancer at Mariposa House Hospice on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in her 82nd year surrounded by her loving family. Reunited with her beloved husband Robert. Loving mother to Shawn and Brian (Donna). Proud grandmother to Ashley, Sarah, Chase, Emmery and Kassidy. Dear sister to Terry Hills (Charles, both predeceased), Donna Sweeney (Patrick, both predeceased), Bill (predeceased) (Carol) McKernon, and Wilma Hammell (George both predeceased).
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Bayshore Health Care, Ontario Health At-Home Care, Couchching Family Health Team, Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Team, Hudson Regional Cancer Program Team and the Staff at Mariposa House Hospice for their gentle and devoted care.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia. Cremation to take place. Vivian will rest at St. Andrew’s-St. James’s Cemetery, 320 Coldwater Road West, Orillia, with her beloved Robert.
