Murray Wilfred Hawn:
Husband, Father & Gramps
Murray: A Gentle Man/A Gentleman/A Gentle Soul
Today, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Murray Wilfred Hawn on Monday, January 27, 2025, in his 73rd year. Murray passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Left behind to grieve this profound loss, (while taking solace in all the memories) are the love of his life, J, his three girls, Julie Louise Ernst (Winston) of Hammond, Lindsay Marie Kristjansson (Erik) of Ottawa, and Marsha Leanne Seibel (Matthew) of Elmira. He was also the adored and adoring Gramps to 6 grandchildren: Darwin and Alexander Ernst, Holden and Hope Kristjansson and Benjamin and Blake Seibel. Murray was predeceased by his parents Bruce and Gladys Hawn of Orillia and his older brother Gregory Hawn of Calgary. He leaves behind his twin sister Maureen Bristow (Tim) of Orillia and his younger sister Angela Hawn (Michael Budding) of Stirling as well as two nieces, Madeline Budding (Ottawa) and Isobel Budding (Montreal).
We will strive to fill the void of his passing with the memories, the stories, and the jokes that Murray was always ready to share.
You were the best husband, Dad and Gramps; if you could have lived on love, you would have lived forever.
Please join us on Saturday, February 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Mundell’s Funeral Home, 79 West St. N for a Celebration of Life. Reception to follow.
Special love and gratitude to all the staff on the Oro-Medonte unit at Trillium Manor. If desired, memorial donations to Toronto Western Hospital, 6th floor, for Parkinson’s research would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com.
