On May 23, 2021 Bob Langman, while surrounded by his family, went home to be with his Lord. He was 78. While we mourn his loss, we celebrate a man who lived a full life of love, faith and friendship.
Bob was a loving husband and true best friend to Eileen (nee Tennant) for 54 years. He was also a wonderful father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by Jeff Langman (Charlene), Jennifer Abbott (Shawn), Russell Elliott (Julie), Kerry Gonzalez (Tony), as well as by Kaylee, Henry, Patrisha, Via, Laura, Ava, Lexi and Grayson. Great grandfather to Lyla and Hazel.
Beloved son of Tyson and Olive Langman, both pre-deceased. Cherished brother of Norman (Janet) and Allan (Diane Robertson), and dear brother-in-law to Marilyn Storey (Bob), and Glenn Tennant (Gay). Also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
Bob farmed for many years with his father and brother, and later operated Langman Trucking for over 30 years. He loved being a part of his community, and he was an active and committed member of his church. In all of these places he formed many dear friendships. He will be remembered for his faith, his kindness, his great sense of humour, his practical wisdom, and his care for others.
Because of Covid restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held, with plans for a memorial celebration later in the summer when numbers permit.
If desired, memorial donations can be made through the Mundell Funeral Home (705) 325-2231 to Cornerstone Baptist Church, The Cardiac Unit of Southlake Regional Healthcare Centre or Compassion Canada.
