It is with great sadness the family of Norma Leigh grieve her passing, with her family by her side, at Mariposa House Hospice on May 10, 2024 in her 94th year.

Norma Ruth (Scott) Leigh was the beloved wife and best friend of Lloyd Robert Leigh (predeceased August 4, 2009).  Dearly loved mother of Sandy & Brian Shelswell, Rugby, Debbie & Gary Cook, Hawkestone and Jeff and Shayne Leigh, Warminster.  Cherished Maw/Grandma of Marny (Dean), Kelly (Matt), Lindsay (Brent), Jody (Jason), Josh (Kim), Courtney (Brett), Cassie (Jordan) and Becky (Tyler).  Proud Gigi of Ryder, Jake, Jett, Jude, Julia, Colton, Gunner, Leigha, Eddie, Henry, Amelia, London and Preston.  Sadly missed by special daughter Linda Johnston.  Only daughter of the late Earl & Ruth Scott and daughter-in-law of the late Jim and Verna Leigh.  Predeceased by her brothers and their wives - John (Irene), Bill (Muriel) and Murray (Betty) and by brother's-in-law and their wives - Crawford (Laurine), Earl (Eileen) and Eric (Marion).  Norma will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Norma is a Honourary Life Member of the Hawkestone Women's Institute and received recognition for her many years of volunteer service in 2011.  She served as a pianist at St. Aidans Anglican Church, Hawkestone.

Norma spent her last 24 days at Mariposa House Hospice, Severn - the closest place to Heaven on Earth.  The amazing staff and volunteers are the definition of Angels and our family will be forever grateful for the care and love she received there.  She formed a true bond with them.

Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 15th from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 2 p.m.  Interment to follow at Knox Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mariposa House Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
