Passed away on Saturday, August 12th, 2023, at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital in his 83rd year surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 57 years to Gaye (nee Mullen) and devoted father of Steven (Carrie) Orillia, Scott, and Jason (Michelle) of Orillia. Loving Grandfather of Keghan and Cassidy Lepard Brother of Dorothy Pink (predeceased) Nelson Lepard (predeceased) Willis Lepard(Linda) David Lepard(Michelle) Lois Lyons(Walter) Will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews Wayne, Darryl, Terry, Larry, Lisa, Karen, Darlene all Grey County, and Sheri of Dryden.
Lorne finally decided to retire on his 81st birthday he spent the first 32 years of his career working for Bell where he formed many lifelong friendships and finished his working career delivering auto parts and electrical equipment for ideal Supply, he loved the people he worked with and looked forward to hearing or delivering a joke with his many colleagues, mechanics and electricians that he interacted with daily. During Lorne’s vacation he looked forward to lending a hand to brothers in Grey county farming and was so very proud of his brothers and sisters of carrying on the family legacy of farming that his parents began many years ago. He was well loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Lorne’s Life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Thursday September 21st , 2023 from 1– 3 p.m. Memorial donations to Mariposa House Hospice or to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
