With a heavy heart, Virginia Louise (nee Cattley) would like to share with family and friends the passing of her devoted husband of 63 adventurous and wonderful years. Thomas Alfred Majury passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, just after celebrating his 89th birthday. Proud father to Christine Louise Majury-Dillon, Deborah Lynda (Robert) Kumar-Misir, and Janette Donna (Erich predeceased) Majury-deVries. Loving grandfather to Justin Thomas Erich Majury-deVries (predeceased) Tyler Jesse Teunis deVries, Sarah Elizabeth Louise Dillon, Kayla Louise Kumar-Misir, and Tyson John Kumar-Misir. Beloved great-grandfather to Paisley Rita Grace Majury. Only brother to his 6 sisters; Doreen Booth (predeceased), Alice Stamper (predeceased), Barbara Majury, Margaret Estey (predeceased), Lynda Doll, Judy Clouston.
In his early years, Tom was an equestrian/trainer and worked with his father on the family farm (North River Ranch). He later became a Stationary Engineer before retiring in 1993 and enjoying hobby farming with his wife starting in the 1980s. Tom loved sports, euchre, travel/cruises and spending time with his family.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia. Cremation has taken place. Tom’s Celebration of Life with his family and friends will be postponed for a later date.
