Dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Ross Harvey Matthews, quietly passed away on Wednesday October 11th at Orillia's Soldier's Memorial Hospital, having just turned 88 in September. Loving father of Valerie Hutchinson (nee Matthews (husband Lorne predeceased) of Warminster, Mark (Kim Nguyen) of Mississauga, Matt (Nicole Parent) of Coldwater and Michael (Nathalie Wall) of Kingston. Cherished grandfather of John (Julie), Melissa, Michelle (Darryl), Jessica, Jorden (Kayla), Sarah, Madison, Ayden and his 2 great grandchildren. Ross is predeceased by his sister Peggy and brother-in-law Ken and survived by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Ross is well remembered for his passion for fishing, kindness to all, love for laughter and enjoying all things in life, especially time with friends and family. We take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his loving wife and best friend Isabel (Issy) who passed 10 months ago and we're sure they're making plans for ballroom dancing, playing a good round of euchre and of course shuffling.
