Of Orillia, passed away peacefully this past Sunday October 14th at Sunnybrook Hospital at the age of 82. Gord was born in Winnipeg Manitoba, a proud Westerner and the son of Gordon and Marian McLauchlin, brother of David of Parksville, BC, Florence McIntyre (Ken) of Winnipeg who predeceased him in 2017, and sister-in-law Judy Peters (Dan, predeceased) of Winnipeg. Beloved husband of Audrey Anne (nee Saunders) whom he met and married in Winnipeg over 57 years ago. He was a loving and devoted father to 3 children, Kerry Ann (Andrew) McLellan, Gordon Jeffery "Jeff" (Melanie) and Todd William Forbes (Nathalie). His 7 grandchildren will all sadly miss their Papa; Drew, Bret and Scot McLellan, Mitchell and Regan McLauchlin and Connor and Kyle McLauchlin. A special thanks to the doctors, physiotherapists and nurses at Sunnybrook who did their absolute best. There will be no funeral at Gord's request, cremation has already taken place. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to Sunnybrook Hospital (Cardiology) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
